Habitat for Humanity Project 2008

SPS Habitat for Humanity Project a Success!

On Wednesday, June 25, a team of 20 hardworking volunteers from Secure Planning Strategies spent a very productive day working on six Habitat for Humanity homes in Pontiac. It was a true group effort. Along with our own staff members, we were joined by several clients and friends, to make this day a success.
We have always been very impressed with Habitat for Humanity’s mission and efforts to make a difference in peoples’ lives. We chose this organization as a way to continue our commitment to the metro Detroit community.
Most of those who volunteered with us had very little experience in building homes. Their genuine enthusiasm and willingness to help inspired us as we painted walls and doors, shoveled dirt for landscaping, cleaned up the crawl space and put up molding.
At the end of the day, it felt wonderful to have contributed to this great cause. Our efforts have helped make it possible for a deserving, hardworking family to find a warm loving home. It could not have happened without Habitat for Humanity Oakland.
Habitat for Humanity is always in need of volunteers, as well as financial contributions, to achieve their goals. With your help we reached our goal of $15,000. Your contribution to our Habitat for Humanity Project 2008 has forever changed the lives of these families. Now, they have homes – you made it possible.

Just take a look at the great time we had:

Minoti proves that she is better at  Financial Planning than at painting.

Are you kidding... we have to shovel all this dirt?

This is one of the homes that Secure Planning Strategies helped to build for one of the lucky new homeowners.
