Minoti Rajput, the founder and principal advisor of Secure Planning Strategies has been in practice for nearly thirty years. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with an MBA in finance, Mrs. Rajput is also a Certified Financial Gerontologist whose primary area of specialty lies in developing and implementing financial and estate plans for affluent professionals, business owners and retirees. Minoti’s skill and expertise inspire client confidence, guiding them as they learn to live today and into retirement while preserving their estate for the next generation. Minoti’s strength is in her integrity as a financial planner and wealth management consultant. She utilizes her talents to the best advantage of her clients by bringing together the talents of Michigan’s finest estate and trust attorneys to provide comprehensive wealth management solutions.

As a pioneering woman in the Financial Planning industry, Minoti understands the importance of empowering women to feel confident handling their finances.  She is passionate about working with women, helping them achieve financial security. In addition to her general practice, Minoti Rajput is a nationally recognized expert in planning for families with special needs family members. She is dedicated to finding the right ways for these families to plan and provide lifelong care for their loved ones. Minoti is the author of several articles on special needs planning and is a co-author of an online reference book for planning professionals published by Commerce Clearing House Publication.

Minoti Rajput is a nationally acclaimed planning professional and has been listed in Worth magazine several times as one of the 250 best financial advisors in the country. She is a member of the Financial Planners Association and is the past president of the Oakland County Financial and Estate Planning Council. Minoti is a frequent speaker both locally and nationally on topics including: planning for special needs children and adults, women and finance, generational planning, and retirement planning for baby boomers.

Minoti is a firm believer in giving back to the community through volunteering. She serves on the board of New Horizons Rehabilitation Services and FAR Conservatory, both dedicated to servicing the Special Needs population. Mrs. Rajput is also the recipient of the 2005 Michigan Governor’s Honor Roll for outstanding community service to the Special Needs population.

Minoti Rajput is married to Hemant Rajput.  They are the parents of two daughters, Keya and Shali.     

Mehul S. Mistry, CFP®

Mehul is dedicated to the success of our clients and our firm. He values the importance of building long-term personal relationships in helping our clients reach their financial goals.

Mehul is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ and joined Secure Planning Strategies in 1999; he has been in the financial services industries for more than 10 years. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Economics. He is a board member of On My Own of Michigan, a local non-profit organization that assists adults with disabilities gain independence. He is also a member of the Autism Society of America and the Financial Planning Association – both locally and nationally.

Mehul and his wife Vashali enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and Michigan football.

Cathy Padgett
Planning Coordinator
Cathy Padgett is an integral part of Secure Planning Strategies. With her extensive knowledge in the insurance and financial industry and her invaluable administrative skills, Cathy is our “go to” person. She manages the daily operations of the office from training and status reports to client support and planning issues. Cathy also facilitates the needs of our firm’s principals in their daily activities. Her focus is on administration, overseeing business operations, and maintaining client relationships.

Cathy is a graduate of Oakland University where she earned a bachelor degree in business administration, majoring in marketing. She has continued her professional education by successfully completing the Series 6 and Series 63.                                         

Joan Allen
Client Service Specialist
Joan Allen has worked in the financial services industry for more than 35 years. Together with her experience, her administrative skills, and attention to detail, she provides our clients with the highest level of service and support. Joan’s nurturing personality has been vital in her role of assisting many of our elderly clientele who rely on her for her communication and organizational skills.

Joan is a volunteer of her church’s Christian education program and participates in its puppet ministry. In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking, reading, and taking nature walks with her husband, Jim.

Vanessa Smith
Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
Vanessa is the “voice” of Secure Planning Strategies. Her cheerful disposition and professionalism enhances our workplace environment. As administrative assistant, Vanessa’s responsibilities include completing correspondence, working on special projects, and servicing our clients. She is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management at Schoolcraft Community College, where she also studies Japanese. She plans to further her education at the University of Detroit/Mercy. Ms. Smith plays an active role in the Detroit community through her volunteer work at St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen.
